Tallgrass Broadcasting Completes Acquisition of 5 Station Cluster in Clovis, New Mexico

Tallgrass Broadcasting LLC has closed on its transaction with Broadcast Entertainment Corporation to purchase a five station cluster serving the Clovis, New Mexico market.

The stations are KICA-FM, Farwell, Texas, KKYC, Clovis, New Mexico, KMUL-FM,

Muleshoe, Texas , as well as AM stations, KICA, Clovis, New Mexico and KMUL, Farwell, Texas. Tallgrass Broadcasting now owns stations in Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.

Joe Walker and Bill Kurtis are the Principles of Tallgrass Broadcasting. Mr. Walker, a former Arbitron Senior Consultant, is the President and Managing Partner of Tallgrass Broadcasting. Mr. Kurtis is a nationally known television broadcaster and owner of Bill Kurtis Productions, Inc.

Thomas J. Crane, President and CEO of the Seller, Broadcast Entertainment Corporation, is now the Principle and Managing Director of InterTerra New Media, a programming and content firm for radio, television and the internet based in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Crane will also serve on the Board of Advisors for Tallgrass Broadcasting.

Bill Lytle, Mike Lytle, Bill Whitley and Tom McKinley were the brokers representing the seller in this transaction.
